В августе\сентябре по идее карантина уже не должно же быть, так что скорее всего проведут. Потому что если нет, то оскаровский сезон к чертям полетит окончательно, его просто не будет.

Джон Кэмпеа поговорил с другом-членом Академии, и тот сказал, что возможна отмена даже апрельского Оскара.

Будут держаться до последнего, но если ситуация не начнёт исправляться, то следующая церемония всё.

Предположительно, инфа появится через месяц-полтора

 

Почему бы в 2022 не раздать сразу за два года?

Продажи реклам и т.п. будут не те. Соответсвенно будет проще уменьшить расходную часть и сделать попроще церемонию ( возможно, не только мне так хочется увидеть 2021 и 2022 ).

EFA announces first part of feature film selection

Due to Covid-19 and the related restrictions, the EFA Feature Film Selection 2020 is announced in two steps. Today, the European Film Academy and EFA Productions have announced the titles of the 32 films in the first part, the second part will be announced in September. This will allow the inclusion of films that would have premiered by 31 May 2020 – be it at a festival or at a regular cinema – but could not due to the pandemic, provided they will premiere theatrically or online before the end of November 2020. Together, the films from part 1 and 2 form the EFA Feature Film Selection, the list of feature-length fiction films recommended for a nomination for the European Film Awards 2020.

Gotham Awards Adds International Category, Opens Submissions

The IFP Gotham Awards on Thursday opened submissions for its 30th annual awards show, which last month shifted to January 2021 because of the pandemic. Organizers also said today that they are introducing a new category, Best International Feature, a director and producers award in which the key roles of director, producer and screenwriter should be based outside the U.S. and are not U.S. citizens.

 

The Gothams previously staked out a November date as it usually marks the unofficial kickoff to the film awards season. With the shift, nominations now will be revealed November 12 and the awards ceremony is January 11. Submissions for all 2020 awards are open until October 1 for the categories honoring the year’s best in indie film and TV.

His father is way ahead when it comes to nominations and trophy count. Dad won for a supporting actor Oscar for 1988’s “Glory” before becoming just the second Black actor, after Sidney Poitier‘s lead win for 1963’s “Lillies of the Field,” for his corrupt cop in 2001’s “Training Day.” In total, he has been nominated for his acting eight times.
