Updated Storyline of JL 2 & 3 (Compiled from Zack's Recent Interviews):

 

Zack Snyder's Justice League 2

 

The movie continues from where ZSJL left off, heroes grow into their roles while preparing themselves for the threat of Darkseid. Batman and Superman make a pact that Batman will take the responsibility of safeguarding the pregnant Lois in an event of an inevitable invasion.

 

Darkseid comes to Earth and finds Anti Life Equation, wrecks havoc. Lex Luthor informs Darkseid that in order to weaken Superman's spirit, he has to kill Lois. Darkseid does exactly that, Superman in his grief succumbs to Anti Life Equation. Knightmare timeline takes hold. Wonder Woman and Aquaman die, the rest manages to escape.

 

From this point on, JL 2 becomes a post-apocalyptic heist movie wherein Batman, Flash, Cyborg, Mera, Deathstroke and Joker come together and devise a plan to steal a mother box from a cathedral in Gotham City whilst hiding and evading from Evil Superman and his forces. The stolen mother box is used to power the cosmic treadmill in order to help Flash with his time travel.

 

The night before sending the Flash back in time, they all sit together for a "Last Supper" of sorts wherein each surviving members tell stories in the style of the Roshomon/P.O.V. episode from Batman The Animated Series. Batman and Joker's narrations involves the flashback to The Death of Robin.

 

Side Note - In Snyderverse travelling through time means travelling through space, so if they need to travel to a particular point in the past, they can do so only on the exact same date so that the position of Earth is relatively in the same place (If you want to go to March 18 of a certain year in the past then you initiate your time travel from March 18 too) So the league has only one chance a year and if they miss it, they'd definitely get caught by Superman and his forces.

 

Cyborg presents two jump points that are accessible for time travel, the time when Flash delivered a message to Bruce in 2016 (during BvS) and a jump point during the events of JL 2 prior to the Death of Lois. Batman says the 2016 jump point won't work so it's wise to send Flash to the other jump point.

 

While they are on this mission Bruce also tries to get his hands on Kryptonite to help fight off Superman should they face him but instead he gets captured and killed by Superman. Superman finds the rest and kills them all one by one, except Flash who manages to escape and deliver the message but he ultimately dies too.

 

Zack Snyder's Justice League 3

 

This movie is conceptualised like Lords of the Rings: Return of the King. A ginormous end battle movie that concludes the saga. Apparently, JL 3 is a Superman movie as he's the primary focus and Zack believes that's a great bookend to his run.

 

Bruce gets the message from Flash and is now prepared to do whatever it takes to save Lois and prevent Knightmare from taking hold. Darkseid comes to Earth as he did at the beginning of JL 2 and boom tubes into Batcave but now Batman succeeds in saving Lois by sacrificing himself in the crossfire. Knightmare timeline is erased out of existence.

 

In this movie, the "classic" Superman becomes the leader of the Justice League and the armed forces of all nations. Wonder Woman becomes the new queen of Themyscira and Aquaman as the king of Atlantis. They all come together to lead a massive united force of Justice League, Amazons, Atlanteans, armed forces of men against Darkseid and his New Gods armada. Similar to the ancient alliance that we saw in the history lesson of ZSJL.

 

Mankind succeeds at putting an end to Darkseid once and for all. Superman and Lois name their son Bruce Kent. Barbara Gordon becomes the successor to the mantle of Batman. Apparently, Lex Luthor has a role in the success of mankind, Zack says, Lex in his own way has always been a humanitarian. In the movie Lex tracks the mothership of Darkseid's armada, breaks in and plants explosive and takes down the mothership, weakening Darkseid's armada considerably.

 

In the epilogue of JL 3, 20 years after the invasion of Darkseid, Clark and Lois takes their son to the Batcave and talk about the legacy of Batman. Their son becomes the new Batman under the mentorship of Barbara Gordon. Bruce Kent doesn't inherit any of the Kryptonians powers from Clark.

 

Deviations from the Original 2015 Storyboards

 

Bruce and Lois do not have an affair and Bruce is no longer the father of Lois' child.

 

Lex Luthor's Legion of Doom subplot is no longer a part of this saga as JL 2 & 3 can no longer benefit from the storylines of the solo movies, as a result, the death of Aquaman and Wonder Woman are quite different.

 

Knightmare timeline kicks in way earlier, Joker and Deathstroke are present but Green Lanterns are nowhere to be seen and there's no Deadshot as well.

 

Closing Thoughts

 

JL 2 is super dark and bleak but relatively smaller in scope and scale. There's classic Superman at the beginning of the movie up until Knightmare. Post Knightmare it's evil Superman.

 

JL 3 is massive in scope and scale and tone-wise similar to ZSJL. Classic Superman is present from start to finish. He'd be in the Blue and Red suit in this movie.

После гифок Дарка вспомнил, как вчера обсуждали полноценный Knightmare за 2 рубля. Если Зач за 5 минут шедеврак выдал, то от полноценного фильма Миллер со своим «Безумным Максом» всё.

Весь фильм в расфокусе, мыле и клоузапах. Бэтмен убегает от комаров, на экране всё размыто, слышна отдышка батона и звуки выстрелов Дефстроука и смех Жопера. Синема.
