Такс... Сейчас глянул фильмографию у режиссёра - есть достойные проекты. (Кстати, пару из них у меня даже в списке на просмотр стоят.) А вот сценарист доверия не внушает, так что в этом ключе не всё однозначно. Но синопсис очень даже интересный, и тизер хороший. Возможно, у Жана грядёт впервые за долгое время хороший фильм.

Напоминает Тебя никогда здесь не было. Можно смело катать по фестивалям.

Не знаю, что получится в итоге, но тизер с постером очень неплохи! Даже тему решил создать.)

Ой не верю в нормальный фильм. Жду отзывов любых.)

What interested and convinced you to join Julien Leclercq's project?

What interested and convinced me is the scenario of the film. The writing is well tied. I like the story of this father who is fighting for his daughter to give her the best. There really is something going on the film that is touching, and with a lot of emotions. But the decisive factor was also Julien Leclercq himself. I listened to him carefully talk to me about movie. He was captivating, he made the story come alive. Julien is an enthusiast who takes you on his journey and you must live the adventure with him. Julien is a director who gives you that desire to work with him with a lot of love and punch.

 

How could you describe the character Lukas?

He is a mysterious, touching man who is shared between action and emotion. He is a tortured man upset in the soul. A man ready for anything to support the needs of his daughter.

 

How did you become the character Lukas?

My character is a bouncer in a nightclub but he is above all a loving father. In some scenes, I I imagined myself to be this father in order to be as close as possible to reality. In my emotions, my eyes or my survival instincts in some fight scenes. You know, in life, I can not stand being lifted hand on a child. I am ready for anything to save my children like all the parents in the world.

 

Your character sometimes evokes that of Alain Delon in SAMURAI ... Is this a reference for you ?

Yes, it is a beautiful reference. SAMURAI is a Cult movie. Just like his actor, Alain Delon. Without forget about it, Jean-Paul Belmondo. They are actors cults I love.

 

Tell me about your collaboration with Sami Bouajila and Sveva Alviti.

Working with them was a real pleasure. They are both great. In my eyes, Sami Bouajila is a actor of cinema and theater. He is incredible. In front of him, the sharing was common. It gives you punch and you want to send him the same punch. Sveva Alviti is also an incredible actress. She is generous in her scenes. She gives herself thoroughly. I really was very happy to work with them.

 

How was your relationship with the little girl?

The little girl was wonderful, I was touched by her in her joy and happiness to see her play. All as in his professionalism. A child, it's pure. In front of her, you're so crazy is wonderful in his role. In a scene in car, she begins to sing. Impossible to stay insensitive to this little girl who was happy to be there to make the movie. This movie is really a beautiful human adventure.

 

How does Julien Leclercq direct his actors?

Julien loves his actors. At his side, you want to give the best so much, it's a love on a film set. He is very attentive to his actors. He lets you share ideas while he has his own. He knows what he wants and what he does not want. Julien lives and breathes movies. He is an artist. He does not leave anything randomly.

 

Does he leave a significant margin of freedom to its comedians?

Yes, it leaves you a margin of freedom. He is open to your ideas but he has his own vision. You know, with him, you just want to listen to him and leave you to lead so much he gives himself for his actors and his movie.

 

What memory do you keep from this shoot?

A wonderful memory. Shooting this movie with this very motivated team and concerned by the outcome of the film. It was a team of passionate people. And in addition to me in Belgium, what happiness. For me, this film is already part of my best memories. And God knows if I have filming memories around the world.

Сомневаюсь. Но хотелось бы верить.

Крепкая ашка тут точно не вырисовывается. Не смешите. Если бы в таком снялся Шварценеггер, Сталлоне, Уиллис, Кейдж, Ривз, то оценка везде была 3-4 балла.

А вот для Ван Дамма, после кошмарной зэшки Черная вода, этот фильм как глоток чистого воздуха.

Прошли первые премьеры во Франции и Бельгии. Все отзывы, которые на данный момент попадались, положительные - отмечают нео-нуаровую атмосферу, работу режиссера, оператора (во многих рецензиях вспоминают "Рестлера"), ost (схожий с "Драйвом"), а также особенно отдельно выделяют Ван Дамма. В самой истории нет ничего нового и особенного, но им вроде как удалось выдать качественный продукт, при относительно скромном бюджете. Пожалуй, все же схожу в кино в октябре, поддержу старину.

"Lukas" is successful in its nervous and tense atmosphere. The casting is very good (Sami Bouajila, Sveva Alviti ...) and this kind of role fits JCVD like a glove, despite the lack of pure action scenes, it has enough to build a credible character. Indeed, the fact that there are few fights is clearly not a flaw, as they seem violent and realistic. They fall on us as they fall on Lukas. Each punch and shot seems more powerful than the previous one, and gives all this nervous side and makes it all the more realistic because the bullets do not rain like in many action movies. Overall, "Lukas" is a good movie, effective, even if we regret a limit in graphic violence even if we understand that a approach for a bigger audience is preferred.

 

The director Julien Leclercq perfectly masters this film and gives it a true soul and especially manages to propose a perfect mix of thriller and action movie. Jean Claude Van Damme present in each of the scenes of the film of a plan of introduction to his character of a total mastery to the scenes of combats reminding us that despite his age he is an accomplished sportsman, We take the shots at the same time as his character and especially we are grateful to this director who has found a perfect role to show that the world cinema has among its ranks a complete actor.

 

"Lukas" finally proves, once again, that once you give a good score to Jean-Claude Van Damme and that he is directed with precision and demand, it is striking. Quiet, Broken, his character is obviously reminiscent of "The samurai" of Melville. If he gets off very well from the few scenes of action, it is especially elsewhere that we admire the game of Van Damme: when his now ravined face passes from one feeling to another.

 

Without reinventing the genre and despite a scenario already seen, "Lukas" lets himself be watched without displeasure. An amazing result when you know that the film was prepared, shot and post-produced in just six months.

 

Moviegoers have not forgotten "The Wrestler", Darren Aronofsky's film that allowed Mickey Rourke to make a moving comeback in a tired old wrestler. "Lukas" causes a similar effect of surprise: Van Damme no longer plays the invincible heroes, Lukas is a poor guy at the end of the roll ... Approaching sixties, the face of JCVD has burned, dug: the actor has become a "mouth", a presence that does not need sophisticated dialogue or karate demonstration to exist on the screen.

 

The French director Julien Leclercq understood this well, and imposes a convincing Van Damme in this black, square thriller, which uses the Belgian talents. Great movie and a role that fits his age.

 

"Lukas" delivers the goods, thanks to a solid script by Jeremie Guez and taut direction by Julien Leclercq, who has consistently shown his proficiency at delivering efficient thrillers that hit hard and leave a mark. This slow-paced, moody noir successfully combines tense long takes, off-screen violence, car chases in a realistic and violent setting, and gun fights, all while providing the necessary emotion. JCVD, anti-hero extraordinaire, gives a quiet, nuanced and powerful performance as a father who’d pretty much do anything for his offspring — but still likes to tie off every loose end. This film feels like the natural sequel to the usual JCVD flick; the character and the actor merge to deliver a raw slice of life, a taste of realness. At one point, fascinated by the ferocity he shows when fighting these younger men, Lukas is asked if he’s insane or just desperately wants to survive, and he admits one needs to be a bit of both. Here his rage feels justified, and we follow along, completely immersed, fascinated by his face and the story it tells. JCVD reminds us once again that he can still surely and successfully punch above his weight.

 

Quentin Tarantino once told us that he had really enjoyed 'JCVD'. Well, if Tarantino liked that film, then he is going to be crazy about 'Lukas'. This is the best film that Van Damme has ever made.

Так оно уже вышло, вроде. Кикбоксёр возвращается называется. 91% позитива от критиков и 75% от зрителей. По мнению критиков это лучший фильм Жана за всю его карьеру.

 

Я сам не смотрел ещё этот шедевр. Надо с первой частью ознакомиться для начала, но там всего 43% от зрителей и критиков.
